Caliber has teamed with a Volunteers of America program to offer a #Recalibrate day for 20 homeless shelter residents selected by Reno Works, a program that helps homeless shelter residents gain employment, skills training, mentoring and more.
On Monday March 28th, our stylists will provide hair, grooming and makeup services in order to help this class or Reno Works candidates enjoy an “all eyes on them” day as they begin their program.
Caliber is thrilled to team with Reno Works to help these candidates and we hope to be part of this special program for years to come.
Catering will be provided by Cherry Bomb Catering.
Reno Works is a joint program between the City of Reno and Volunteers of America. According to a presentation presented by the City of Reno, “The program takes place in two 9-week sessions to address: 1. Temporary employment including safety and work training 2. Employability skills training 3. Long term employment support 4. Wrap-around case management and mentoring to address underlying factors in unemployment and homelessness.”
